Regulation & Security
Secure for your bank.
Auditable for your compliance team.
For us, regulatory requirements are not a hurdle at the end but design specifications from the start. Here we show the principles by which we build Capvise together with banks, and how we support your institution along the way.
Six principles we build Capvise by.
MiFID II is part of the math
Suitability is not a downstream check but a fixed constraint of the portfolio optimization. Capvise is built so that proposals outside the investor profile and target market never come about in the first place.
A rationale for every weighting
Every proposal carries its derivation: in plain language for the client, traceable for your compliance team.
The advisor decides
Capvise proposes. Only the advisor approves what reaches the client.
AI stays recognizable
Wherever AI was involved in a proposal, this is disclosed to the client.
Operations in the EU
Processing and storage exclusively in data centers in the European Union.
Established financial mathematics
Weightings come from established optimization methods within your product universe, not from a black box.
MiFID II
Suitability, doubly safeguarded.
Capvise does not replace your existing suitability assessment; it feeds into it. Every proposal is designed for MiFID II at the calculation stage, before your own gate checks it again.
- Capvise01
MiFID II as a fixed constraint of the optimization
Investor profile, target market and your house rules limit the solution space. Capvise is built so that proposals outside these limits never come about in the first place.
- Your bank02
Your suitability gate checks again
Your existing check stays exactly as it is. Capvise slots in ahead of it instead of bypassing it.
- Your advisor03
Reviews, explains and approves
With the rationale for every weighting as the basis for the conversation and the suitability report.
Your advisors decide.

Frameworks at a glance
MiFID II, the EU AI Act and DORA are legal frameworks, not certifications. What matters is how a solution is built and what your institution gains from it.
| Framework | What it covers | How we build Capvise | What your institution gains |
|---|---|---|---|
| MiFID II | Suitable investment advice, target market, documentation and suitability report | MiFID II as a fixed constraint of the portfolio optimization, a rationale for every weighting. Your suitability gate checks in addition. | Proposals designed for suitability from the start, and a basis for the suitability report |
| EU AI Act | Transparency, human oversight, technical documentation | Disclosure to the client, approval by the advisor, documented model and review processes | Support with your obligations as a deployer of an AI system |
| DORA | Management of ICT third-party service providers: contract terms, audit rights, exit strategy, incident reporting | Operations and contracts aligned with the requirements for ICT third-party service providers | An outsourcing arrangement that fits your existing third-party risk management |
| GDPR | Protection of personal data | Processing exclusively in the EU, data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR | Client data stays within EU jurisdiction |
Common questions from compliance and IT
Is Capvise MiFID II certified?
There is no certification for MiFID II. We build Capvise so that MiFID II is a fixed constraint of the portfolio optimization: proposals outside the investor profile and target market never come about in the first place. Your bank's existing suitability gate checks in addition, so there are two safeguards instead of one.
Does Capvise replace our suitability assessment?
No. Your suitability gate stays in place. Capvise works ahead of it: investor profile and target market are fixed limits from the calculation onwards.
Where is the data processed?
Exclusively in data centers in the European Union.
Does Capvise make investment decisions?
No. Capvise calculates proposals and explains the reasoning behind them. The advisor reviews and approves them.
What does the EU AI Act mean for using Capvise?
The EU AI Act applies to Capvise. We build Capvise so that the use of AI is disclosed to clients, the advisor reviews every proposal, and how each proposal came about is documented in a traceable way.
What does DORA mean for working together?
Banks must manage their ICT third-party service providers contractually and organizationally. We align our operations and contracts with these requirements, for example audit and access rights, exit arrangements and incident reporting.
Can we help shape Capvise?
Yes. We develop Capvise together with banks. How Capvise fits into your review processes, house rules and documentation is something we shape together with your institution.
Built together
We build Capvise with banks, not just for them.
How AI fits into existing review processes isn't decided on the drawing board. We're happy to walk through questions on compliance and IT security with your specialist teams.
